What is the Gemini watermark?
When you create or edit an image with Gemini, including its Nano Banana image models, a small semi-transparent sparkle is usually blended into the bottom-right corner. That visible mark tells viewers the picture was made with AI.
Google also embeds SynthID, an invisible watermark hidden in the pixels themselves. This tool only removes the visible sparkle. SynthID stays in the image.
How to remove the Gemini watermark from an image
- Download the original from Gemini. Use Gemini’s download button, not a screenshot: the tool works best on the untouched file.
- Add it to the tool above. Drag and drop the file, tap the box to pick it from your phone’s gallery or files, or paste it with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac).
- Wait a moment. The image is processed in your browser. The first one takes a few seconds while the cleanup engine loads.
- Check the corner. Drag the before/after slider and look closely at the bottom-right corner.
- Save it. Download the cleaned PNG or copy it to your clipboard.
Reverse the blend, don’t repaint it
Gemini blends its logo into the image at a known size, position and transparency. Because that blend is predictable, the open-source engine can reverse the math (reverse alpha blending) and recover the pixels that were underneath, instead of asking an AI model to invent new ones.
Everything runs as JavaScript on your own device. There is no upload, no server-side copy and no account, which is also why the tool can be free.
What this tool does not do
- It removes only the visible Gemini sparkle, not other logos, text, or watermarks from other AI tools.
- It does not remove SynthID or hide that an image was made with AI.
- It works on images (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels), not videos.
- Screenshots, crops and resized copies may not be detected, because the mark no longer sits at its expected size and position.
- The result is a PNG without the original file’s metadata. Always check it before you use it.
