Which watermark do Nano Banana images have?
Nano Banana is the nickname for Google’s Gemini image model, and Nano Banana Pro is its newer version. Images you create or edit with them in the Gemini app usually show the Gemini sparkle, a small semi-transparent star in the bottom-right corner.
Depending on where and how the image was generated, it may not have a visible mark at all. Every image still carries SynthID, Google’s invisible watermark, which this tool does not remove.
How to remove the Nano Banana watermark
- In Gemini, download the generated image at full size.
- Drop the file into the tool above, pick it from your gallery, or paste it.
- The sparkle is detected and removed on your device in a few seconds.
- Check the corner with the before/after slider, then download the PNG.
The engine reverses the way the sparkle was blended into the picture rather than painting over it, so the rest of the image is unchanged.
What to expect
- Works on the standard visible Gemini sparkle. If the mark is not confidently found, the tool tells you. Uncertain matches are labelled as best-effort so you can check the corner.
- A screenshot of a Nano Banana image is often rescaled, so the sparkle no longer has the size the tool expects. Gemini’s own download works better.
- Still images only: PNG, JPG or WebP up to 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Video is out of scope.
- Nothing invisible is changed: SynthID and other provenance signals remain.

Nano Banana watermark questions
Does this work with Nano Banana Pro images?
Yes, when the image shows the standard Gemini sparkle in the corner. If the mark is not confidently found, the tool tells you, and the image is usually left unchanged.
Where do Nano Banana images get the visible sparkle?
Usually in the Gemini app: images you download there show the sparkle in the bottom-right corner. Images made through other Google products or developer tools may have no visible mark, and then there is nothing here to remove.
I edited my own photo with Nano Banana. Can I clean that too?
Yes, if the edited image you download from Gemini shows the sparkle. The tool only reverses the sparkle in its corner; the rest of the edit stays exactly as Gemini produced it.
Will the cleaned image still be detectable as AI-generated?
It can be. Google’s invisible SynthID watermark is not touched by this tool, which only removes the visible sparkle.
